2023
Media
Inside-painting Art
Size
7 cm × 4.5 cm × 3.5 cm
Work Description
Inspired by Su Shi's "Nian Nu Jiao: Nostalgia at Red Cliff," the interior depicts the majestic scene of Red Cliff. The great river flows eastward, jagged rocks pierce the sky, and towering waves crash against the shore.
Artist Statement
How is Su Dongpo's bold poetic spirit expressed in internal paintings? The answer lies in revealing the vast through the small, depicting motion through stillness, and embedding infinity within the finite.
